The 1997-2001 Honda Prelude (BB6) was one of the last non-K Series sportscars that Honda presented to us. The styling and performance of the H series make it a great enthusiast's car. As the car ages, so do the parts that once made it great. The Honda Prelude Shifter & Mount Upgrade was crafted to offer replacements for many of these components with OE replacements that provided excellent driver feedback and improved performance.

Hybrid Racing shifter cables are a performance upgrade replacement for stock OEM cables. The solid rod ends, permanently lubricated core, spherical bearings, & aluminum end links give the Hybrid Racing cables a firmer, tighter feel over OEM cables resulting in fewer missed shifts and a more connected feel to the chassis. Heat resistant up to 225*F with a max bend radius of 5" (for optimum life) Other notable features of the Hybrid Racing cables are spherical bearings, stainless steel push rods, and upgraded stainless steel swivel support tubes (OEM are plastic) known to break on the OEM cables. All the rod ends and mounting bushings are CNC machined 6061 aluminum, then black anodized before being laser etched with the Hybrid Racing logo and flair.
Are these cables a direct replacement for my OEM Shifter Cables?
Yes! These shifter cables have been designed and tested to replace the factory Honda Prelude and Accord counterparts. Since Honda has discontinued most cables, these are a great option to improve the shifting feel of your transmission.

With the same allen wrench, you can adjust the knob position, bringing it closer to or further from the steering wheel, meaning you can shift quickly and keep your hands on the wheel. Want your shifts a little shorter? This shifter can reduce throw anywhere from 20% to 40% (below stock throw). Gate spacing (left-right shifter motion) is also adjustable up to 5% shorter. If you like short throws and wide gates, long throws, narrow gates, or any other combination, you can custom tailor it to your preference.
One glance at our short shifter reveals a design that cuts no corners. The links feature full 6061-T6 aluminum construction with stainless steel ball bearings that are designed to provide quiet operation with no need for lubrication. The shift levers are made from stainless steel to avoid unsightly corrosion. The internal spring can also be swapped out for something stiffer/lighter so you can set the level of resistance you prefer.
