Eventuri BMW F9X X5M / X6M / G09 XM / M60i Black Carbon Intake System

The Eventuri BMW F9X X5M / X6M / G09 XM / M60i Black Carbon Intake System is a purpose-built performance upgrade developed to improve airflow efficiency, thermal control, and driving engagement across BMW’s high-performance SUV and SAV platforms. Engineered through extensive testing and refinement, this system addresses the flow limitations of the factory airbox design while maintaining OEM-level fitment and usability.

From the factory, the intake layout requires airflow to make a sharp 180-degree transition within each airbox due to the positioning of the front-mounted cold air feeds and rear-facing turbo inlets. This creates unnecessary restriction and pressure loss. The Eventuri system replaces the stock airboxes entirely, introducing a redesigned airflow path that is both more direct and significantly more efficient.

To achieve this, Eventuri integrates an additional cold air feed sourced from the scuttle panel area. This secondary intake path shortens the distance to the turbochargers, reducing turbulence and pressure drop while maintaining consistently low intake air temperatures. An added benefit of this design is enhanced turbocharger acoustics, with turbo spool, flutter, and pressure release sounds becoming more pronounced.

At the core of this intake are Eventuri’s patented carbon fiber filter housings paired with Gen 2 bespoke filters. The housings are engineered to maintain smooth, controlled airflow from the filters toward the turbo inlets, helping the turbochargers operate more efficiently and consistently under load.

All carbon fiber components are manufactured from 100% pre-preg carbon fiber, ensuring consistent material quality, precise fiber control, and long-term durability under high-temperature operating conditions.
